Although the manufacturer rates this size for up to 6 servings, from our personal experience using it at home, it is ideally proportioned for 2 to 3 people. When cooking a traditional dry paella for this number of guests, the rice settles perfectly to about half the depth of the pan, guaranteeing optimal texture and flavor absorption. Additionally, when adding your cooking water or broth, the liquid level stays safely below the handle rivets prior to reduction, creating the ideal environment for a flawless cook every time.

Note on care: Because this is traditional polished steel, it requires a bit more maintenance to prevent rust (which we will explain in detail at the end of our guide).

How to Care for Your Polished Steel Paella Pan

• Before First Use: Wash the pan thoroughly with hot water and mild soap to remove any factory protective oils, then dry it completely right away. To season it, pour a thin layer of cooking oil inside and heat the pan over medium heat for a couple of minutes, then wipe away any excess oil with a paper towel.

• After Every Use: Wash the pan by hand using warm water and soap, and dry it immediately with a towel to prevent rusting (never let it air dry). Once completely dry, rub a light coat of cooking oil all over the surface with a paper towel before storing it in a dry place
