Picos Artesanos Castilla

An entire family dedicated to one of the most traditional accompaniments to any meal in Andalusia and Spain. The third generation to use the same recipe.

Located in La Luisiana, a small town in the province of Seville—the world capital of “picos” or “roscos de pan”—is this family-owned business, a pioneer in the production of artisanal picos made from flour, water, salt, and olive oil.

“Roscos y Picos” and La Luisiana

Along with bread-making, “Roscos and La Lusiana go hand in hand,” just as the Castilla family does with this product.

It was around 1968 when Mr. Francisco Castilla Gordillo, the pioneer of bread sticks in this region, founded the company Artecasti.

It was a major achievement to establish the company, which is now managed by the third generation of the Castilla family, who inherited from this master artisan the expertise and the recipe for making these traditional La Luisiana roscos. Unlike their competitors, their products are handmade, mostly produced by hand using extra virgin olive oil and the highest quality ingredients, following the most traditional methods. With all this, we believe we have created an excellent, healthy, and natural product worthy of the most discerning palates, offering significant nutritional benefits as part of the Mediterranean diet.

We import these products with great care here to the United States. I’m from Louisiana, and I’ve spent my whole life eating donuts—it’s a healthy habit of mine. ArteCasti isn’t just a company; they’re my friends—people who’ve spent their entire lives working to create and preserve these delicious recipes. So, beyond just a business, it’s become something even more special

They have a wide variety of products, though these are the most traditional and best-selling ones

The best selection! The most authentic!
